HEDWIG
The play tells the story of the 'internationally ignored musical stylist', Hedwig Schmidt, a rock'n'roll goddess from East Berlin, who incidentally is also the victim of a medical error during her sex-changing operation, which left her with an "angry inch".

ARGUMENT
This outrageous and unexpectedly hilarious story is presented by Hedwig - born Hansel - in the form of a comic rock concert / monologue backed by a band, the "Angry Inch". Through songs and monologues, Hedwig begins her story in ancient East Berlin, where, as Hansel, he meets Luther, an American military man who promises to take him to the United States, on condition that he change his sex. After the unsuccessful operation, Luther leaves her in a trailer in the middle of Kansas, where she begins to work with music and meets Tommy Speck, for whom she falls in love. Tommy steals her songs and turns into a rock star, while Hedwig is again discarded. She decides to battle for justice and begins chasing Tommy on her world tour, performing at restaurants near the stadiums where he performs. During her introductions, Hedwig describes her quest for the "Origin of Love" and her soul-mate.
With much rock'n'roll, comedy and emotion, through popular glam-rock songs, passionate and narrative, Hedwig seduces and moves the viewer with her quest to find a place where she belongs.
Her story is a search for the origins of love. The show begins its journey based on the concepts about love, making references to "The Banquet" written by Plato.
Hedwig is a product of contemporary society, and, like everyone else, seeks its soul-mate and its place in the world.
